Date: 19th to 21st January 2008

Despite the trip being hectic & tiring, mum was extremely happy catching up Isabelle & Janelle. Mum will be going for a surgery on her toe soon. I wish u well mum. Lotsa love!

Isabelle's 1st Day of Class in Primary School
Date: 3rd January 2008
Location: SRJK (C) Choong Wen
To be honest, I sob that morning seeing Isabelle in her primary one school uniform. It was just like yesterday when I still carried her in my arms and singing to her. I can tell Isabelle wasnt comfortable on her 1st day at school. She knew no one there and what makes her uneasy is that everyone speaks Mandarin. And her class teacher addresses her "Lee-E" instead of "Isabelle". And some of her classmates were pretty rowdy. She finally broke down and cried at the end of her 1st day.

Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina Choong Wen (in short, SRJK (C) Choong Wen) is a semi-private Chinese primary school in Malaysia. This is the school that Isabelle got selected from our Ministry of Education to attend (our 1st choice was actually, SRJK (C) Yoke Nam). Isabelle is in Class 1N together with about 47 other children.
New Years Eve Gathering Welcoming 2008
Date: 31st December 2007
Location: Andrew's Apartment at Bukit Jalil
It was the last day of the year 2007. Andrew invited us to a little gathering to usher in 2008, but of course the main reason is for Isabelle & Janelle to get together with Alyssa & baby Trisha. I was told we can catch the spectacular view of fireworks going up all around town from the 14th floor of Andrew's place at midnight. We were definitely not disappointed. We had a 1991 bottle of sparking white wine from Australia and tidbits while chatting about the year to come. Oh, I just learned Isabelle is actually closer to baby Trisha, instead of Alyssa. Reversely, Alyssa is closer to my little Janelle. Anyway, the girls still had so much fun together. What tickles us is that the girls prefer to play clubpenguin on the computer rather than playing dolls. Oh well! The new age of toys.
