The Orchid Park, or Taman Orkid as it is called, is located opposite the Bird Park. It is also a part of the Lake Gardens. Walking around in the garden you can see orchids of all colorations. Here orchid lovers can find their paradis, and time for recreation. The orchid shop offers orchids in all kind of colours. Single coloured, mixed coloured with stripes, dots, with or without a seducing exotic fragrants.

When we were celebrating Chinese New Year in Lawas, we received a call from Skywalker - inviting Isabelle back for the 2nd season of "A Letter A Day With ABC". They were also as delighted as us since they had a great time working with the children. 2nd season will incorporate a different concept as most of the shoot will be done out of the studio. We are guessing it is part of the Visit Malaysia programme where the Government is encouraging tv/movie production houses to promote tourism spots in Malaysia. Well, we are not complaining since Isabelle totally enjoyed the TV shoot & also catching up with her friends (& the crew).

Charity Dinner At Trusan, Lawas

We attended a charity dinner in a temple at Trusan, Lawas on the 3rd day of Chinese New Year. We won a lucky draw (number 22, our table number) and Isabelle proudly went on stage to claim it.

Flood Havoc

Rain havoc on the 2nd day of Chinese New Year. It rained so heavily that night it actually overflowed into the house (water level almost above half a feet high). It did wreaked some food items that were left on the floor but we still managed to salvage pretty much everything else. We cleared the water that night when it stopped raining. Went to bed past midnight feeling pretty exhausted. However, we woke up the next morning to another flooded house (with slightly higher water level).

We arrived early this year to be part of the Chinese New Year preparation instead of coming back yearly just to celebrate. Since we arrived early, there was really nothing much to do since most of the relatives are Not back yet. So, I brought the girls to do a bit of adventuring around the house like picking 'rambutans', 'langsats' and bananas. Isabelle & Janelle also loves all the animals around the house, the puppies, rabbits, etc.
